Playing Sports: Don't worry! You can still play sports when you have braces. We'd just recommend wearing a mouthguard to protect your teeth, lips/cheeks, and your braces. Let us know if you need any help finding/fitting a mouthguard. They can be found for inexpensive prices at your local conveinence store. |

Tooth Brushing & Flossing: Good oral hygiene is essential to successful orthodontic treatment. The last thing we want to have happen is that we straighten all your teeth, give you a beautiful smile, but you have cavities/staining on your teeth. With braces, you'll need to brush and floss after every meal to make sure your teeth and gums are in good health. We are not only worried about cavities, but also healthy gums. If your gums are inflamed/bleeding, then your teeth will not move and your treatment will take longer than expected. |
